Project: Japan Society Architect: Beyer Blinder Belle Contractor: Universal Builders Supply Millwork: Iaccarino
The simple lines and timeless elegance of the Japanese aesthetic were captured in paneling and other woodwork for the re-design of Japan Society's interior bamboo courtyard and executive offices. European steamed beech, suspended from aluminum channels, was combined with aluminum Art Deco accents to complement the lounge's bright and spacious environment. Iaccarino also fashioned lightweight but highly durable Shoji screens for the building's administrative offices. |
